Below you will find so many makeup tips and tricks that are really useful and will save you time and money, check them out! From making clumpy mascaras better again to getting free products, I've included some of my favourite tips that will be useful and save you lots of time and money. Keep reading to find out more!

Dry or gloopy nail varnishes:

If one of your favourite nail varnishes is drying up and becoming thicker than it should be, it can easily be fixed. Just add the tiniest bit of nail varnish remover, be really careful that it's only a small amount. This will add more liquid to it, making it thinner and wetter, like it should be. This also works if you have a colour that you absolutely love but it's running out. Just add a tiny bit of nail varnish remover and you will be able to use it for longer.

Clumpy mascaras:

If a mascara that you once loved has went clumpy, there's still hope for it in the future. Get some contact solution, or if you don't have any then olive oil will do, and squirt 2-3 drops of it into the mascara tube. Tightly close the lid and give the mascara a good shake. If it still needs more help after this, fill a mug with water and microwave it for 3 minutes. Place the sealed mascara tube into the mug for about 5 minutes. You're mascara should now be good as new!

Return your empty packaging:

A few brands such as Lush and MAC have great deals that not many people know about. If you have any empty packaging, you can trade it back in for free items. In Lush, if you bring back 5 empty black pots, they will reward you with a face mask of your choice, whereas in MAC if you bring in 6 empty product containers, they will give you a free lipstick of your choice. It's such a cool idea that barely anyone knows about!

Free samples:

Some brands such as No7 will give you a free colour match service in any of their stores, telling you which shade of their foundation you are. Once this is done, they will also give you a reasonable sized sample of the products you liked in your colour. You can also say that you'd like it a shade either way as well and they will give you the samples, which in the long run is a lot cheaper than buying their foundations.

Eye-level:

In shops such as Sephora, MAC and Ulta, they place all of their most expensive items at eye-level, as it's where you're most likely to look. If you're not wanting to pay their expensive prices and are looking for more of a bargain, check the higher and lower shelves, as that is where the cheaper products will be.

Buy out of season:

Brands such as Nars will higher the prices of eyeshadow colours that are in trend at the moment, such as pastels in spring or jewel tones in the autumn. Despite this, they often sell these products all year round anyway, so buy your winter shadows in summer and vice versa to avoid paying unnecessary prices.
